My self-taught journey: Mistakes and successes

Every artist's path is unique, filled with unexpected turns and invaluable lessons. Join me as I reflect on the moments that have shaped my journey, from the frustrating errors to the fulfilling breakthroughs.

Shaping my artistic path

Every error I make, the frustrating moments, and sometimes the desire to burn the canvas and start again, these are the moments where I realise how much I love to play with paint! I want to see where this journey takes me, and I want to share the bad and good times with people. Realising my style, which is still a work in progress, and how much I wish to use my work to represent people of colour, their culture, and their inside and outside beauty, have been crucial moments for me.

Learning from my 'oops' moments

One of the biggest lessons I've learned on this journey is that a proper technique and the right inspiration will help you go through any mistakes during the process. There have been many 'oops' moments, but each one has taught me patience and resilience, strengthening my belief in the creative flow.

Moments of pride and progress

A significant breakthrough for me was selling one painting to a friend, even for a very low price. It felt incredibly good to see that there is interest in my work, confirming that my artistic vision resonates with others. This moment fuelled my passion and dedication to continue creating.

"I am excited to continue this artistic exploration and invite you to follow along, appreciating the process as much as the final creation."
